Epsom College Chamber String Orchestra

The Chamber Orchestra from Epsom College will perform a concert. They will play a variety of music including popular songs, film music and classical music. Epsom College has a vibrant music education programme with string tuition being a part of the curriculum in the prep school. The transition houses (11-13 years old) have their own orchestra in addition to the main school orchestra. The performers today are all in the higher grades, with diplomas and grade 8 awards; they rehearse in the evenings as part of the wider opportunities available to the students at this boarding school.

The Castaway
Nutty Scientists’ show “The Castaway” aims to awaken the curiosity and imagination of children through their participation in fun activities based on strong educational scientific content. Playing, children will come to understand the importance of science and its real effect in the world around us.

The children will enjoy the crazy stories of our nutty scientists who, having recently arrived after being shipwrecked on a desert island, explain how they were able to survive using their brains and a bunch of scientific experiments related to the Science behind: Chemical Reactions, Static Electricity, Forces and Motion, etc…..

Food for your Brain
Want to find out more what kind of food can boost your little ones' brain power? Head over to the "Food for your Brain" session and our professional dietician will share with you how to choose the right food for your children's brain, followed by a fun and interactive activity where your children can participate to make adorable snowman egg sushi.

Grow the Goose - Kids Money Habits Programme
At Grow the Goose, we introduce kids ages 6-12 to healthy financial habits with the end goal to make them financially disciplined by the time they turn 18. We also aim to assist orphans, where a portion of our profits will be used to run programs at orphanages, with the hopes that they too will be financially savvy by the time they leave the 'System'.

Play with the Masterpieces
This is an artwork puzzle game for children aged 5 to 12 to participate with an adult.

By studying well-known international artists’ artwork, children are able to enhance their colour sense besides exploring the secrets and stories behind them.

MY Art Studio was established in Malaysia in 1999 with the objective of inspiring children’s creativity through our specially designed art courses recognized by South Essex College, United Kingdom.

Bring along your children to join in our fun and lively activities on 5 & 6 November 2016.

Draw the Sound
Draw what you hear! This is an individual art workshop for children aged 3 to 12 years old.

They will get the chance to “draw the sound” on the unique papers and stationeries that we provide. The purpose of this activity is to show that each artwork is different even with the same topic given.

MY Art Studio courses are based on the Founders of Children Art, Dr Frank Cizek and Viktor Lowenfeld’s concept in developing children’s creativity and artistry from as young as 3 years old.

Bring along your children to join in our fun and lively activities on 5 & 6 November 2016.

Decorate Your Own Bag Tag
20 kits will be prepared for children where they will be able to colour, decorate and bring home their very own personalised fabric bag tag

My Robot Arm

Helping ALL Children Find Their Voice: Building Communication Skills Through Music

Communication and social skills are critical daily living skills that help develop children’s ability to speak up, self-advocate, make friends, express their wants and needs, work together with their peers as well as regulate their feelings. Children with good communication skills grow up to be more confident and successful, more articulate and eloquent, more emotionally adjusted. Such skills are not only important while at school but throughout our adult lives.

Come join us for a fun interactive session of musical play as we teach kids to develop better social and communication skills through music. Session will include musical storytelling, fun vocal exercises, games, music and movement activities, as well as music and art therapy. The activities in this session are designed to work one-to-one, in regular school or settings as well as in an inclusive setting where special children and regular children from 6-12 years can meaningfully engage and participate. Materials and music will be provided.

Coding & Virtual Reality Workshop

Telebort is a community learning center that empowers students through technology. We conduct various after school programs, workshops and bootcamps to allow students to explore, collaborate, and innovate in the area of technology. The aim of this workshop is to encourage a hands on learning experience using the technology of virtual reality. Topics that will be discussed are Biology, Climate Change, and Geography.

The workshop will be taught using Google Expeditions. Therefore, students are encouraged to bring their smartphones with the Google Expeditions program already installed prior to attending the workshop. At the end of the workshop, students are expected to be more familair with biological diagrams of organs, understand the concept of climate change, and know the names of more countries and cities!
