Ready to Challenge Japanese Mathematics?

Gakken Classroom will display a mathematical question to the students on spot and let them challenge the question first. There will be three questions from the Gakken Classroom Syllabus (same as Japan), from L7 to L5. As a benchmark system, L7 is equivalent to Grade 3 and L5  represents Grade 5 in Japan. The L8, which represents Grade 2 in Japan will be provided to younger children. The time to attempt each question is five minutes. Then will be a ten-minute explanation on how a particular question is solved in the Gakken Classroom way.

*Three questions from three different levels will be prepared depending on the number of children who attend the workshop.

Music as Our Daily Supplement

So, what is music? It is the vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) combined in such a way as to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion.

We all have some songs and tunes, which are deeply attached directly to our heart. That is why music can be considered as the “direct strings of the heart.”

Therefore, this beautiful creation of God has different impact and interpretation based solely on the listener. If you’re a student, this is important to note. Music can truly be a lifesaver when it comes to getting through the emotional highs and lows, and the energy ebbs and flows that accompany educational pursuits.

So, what’s the best music to listen to while studying? There’s not a simple answer, as different music has a different effect on the mind. Think of it as a supplement; just as different vitamins serve different functions in the body; different musical elements can help us in different ways and in different sectors of our life.

With that said, sit back, relax and let us - the Sayfol International School feed your mind and soul with some exciting performances!

Exciting the Mind and Body through Drama

Learning through Drama provides students with the opportunity to practise and experience the English Language in practical situations. It will enhance their motivation to learn providing a fun and collaborative way to acquire new skills. Children practise their communication skills and develop confidence when supported by their peers.

Unleash Your Creativity

Children learn through things they are passionate about. In the Canadian Ontario Curriculum, it states, “education in the arts is essential to students' intellectual, social, physical, and emotional growth and well-being. Experiences in the arts - in music, dance, drama and visual arts - play a valuable role in helping students to achieve their potential as learners and to participate fully in their community and in society as a whole”.

At Sunway International School Iskandar, students have the opportunities to function as artists, as well as learners of the arts. This “Design Your Own Tote Bag” workshop is waiting for children aged between 5 – 12 years old, to experience creative moments with us. Hoping to see you there!

Comedy Magic with Puppets, Games and Balloons Sculpture

The Learning is Fun segment welcomes back Uncle Billy, who is ready to entertain the crowd once again! Uncle Billy is sure to make you laugh and giggle with his bag of tricks and puppet friends. He is a simple, silly man who believes laughter is truly the best medicine!

Performing Arts: An Introductory Lesson

In Kingsley International School, our Performing Arts programme helps kids use their voices and bodies to express themselves through drama, dance and music. In addition to developing artistic talents, kids get to practice language skills and learn to be comfortable in the spotlight in a fun, informal environment. The skills students learn in the Performing Arts programme give them confidence to perform on the Stage of Life. Through music, dance and drama, students develop self-discipline, memory concentration, co-operation, imagination and empathy. Our performing arts workshop is suitable for children aged 5 to 12 years old.

Have Fun, Let’s Play Music Together!

Our dearest students and tutors will be performing where they will be showcasing modern ways of presenting music of different genres which includes contemporary pop song, classical music, as well as some of their own compositions. It will be performed in various settings such as band, strings quartet, solo piano and violin duet. Music is all about expressing one's self, developing the imagination and invoking creativity. Hence, we hope that from our performances you will understand that there’s no one rule to present music. Let’s have fun and play music together!
