The International & Private Schools Education Forum (IPSEF), organised by Method International UK, is a three-day event that brings together government officials, investors, educators and the business community in the international education industry.

At IPSEF, delegates have the opportunity to present topics and discuss current issues and trends in international education. This is followed by a day of school visits where participants can see first-hand the initiatives that have been implemented in leading international schools in the Klang Valley and beyond.

The most recent IPSEF took place in Kuala Lumpur from 22 to 24 March 2017 at Intercontinental Hotel. 141 delegates from eight countries, namely China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and Vietnam attended IPSEF this year. The delegates and exhibitors represented a wide range of international schools, businesses and companies such as education consultant firms, student assessment solutions, talent recruitment agencies, and marketing agencies.

The IPSEF participants attend a briefing at St. Joseph's Institution International School Malaysia.

Some of the topics discussed on the first day included what expatriate parents expect from international schools, how schools improve through effective use of data and the challenges of a transnational teacher education programme.

On the second day, the conference continued with discussions on topics such as the changing landscape of international education in Asia, preparing international school students for university and the trend of 21st century schools in Malaysia.

IPSEF concluded on the third day with school visits to Epsom College in Malaysia, St Joseph’s Institution International School Malaysia and The British International School of Kuala Lumpur. Ms Soo Yeng Yeng, Senior Business Development Executive at Mint Communications, led the school visits this year to much success.
